Pat Gallagher, one of the longest serving executives in San Francisco Giants history is credited with being among the most creative marketing and business minds in professional sports during his 33 years with the organization.

Most recently, Pat established and served as president of Giants Enterprises LLC, a subsidiary of the Giants created in 2000 coinciding with the opening of Pacific Bell Park (now AT&T Park) to develop non-baseball ventures and business opportunities for the organization and new ballpark on San Francisco’s waterfront.  Giants Enterprises has been recognized as a leader in the professional sports industry for special event creation and production including over 1000 public and private events, most notable major concerts with the Rolling Stones, Dave Matthews Band, Bruce Springsteen, Greenday, Kenny Chesney, regular performances by Cirque de Soleil, Supercross, international soccer matches and AVP Pro Beach volleyball.

Gallagher was co-founder of the Emerald Bowl, San Francisco’s successful annual college football classic and brought the IcerAir ski/snowboard event, Brian Boitano Ice Spectacular and San Francisco Opera’s “Opera in the Park” to AT&T Park, resulting in the ballpark and the Giants being recognized by Sports Business Journal as “Sports Facility of the Year” in the first year of the award in 2008.

Previously, Gallagher served as senior vice president-business operations for Giants for over 20 years, overseeing marketing, advertising, promotions, ballpark operations, ticket sales and public/community relations for the club.  As the Giants legendary marketing executive, Gallagher was responsible for many of the Giants legendary marketing campaigns through the years at Candlestick Park including the “Croix de Candlestick” award for fans braving the elements of the notorious cold and windy ballpark and “Crazy Crab” the anti-mascot.

Pat was a major contributor to the design and development of the Giants new ballpark, specifically overseeing the creation of the facilities' marketing plan, Charter Seat, naming rights, secondary ticket market customer service and corporate sponsorship programs which were key requirements to make the first privately financed major league ballpark in over 30 years a reality.

Gallagher was the Giants first Director of Marketing in 1976, coming to the club from simlar posts at Marine World/Africa USA and Sea World theme parks.

He served as chairman of the San Francisco Convention and Visitors Bureau, first chairman of the City's new Tourism Improvement District, and Board member of Major League Baseball Properties, the California Chamber of Commerce and Bay Area Sports Hall of Fame.

Pat and his wife Joan have a son, Murphy and a daighter Katie.  The Gallgher's make their home in Palo Alto.
