When Karl joined the Palace team he was a Banquet Manager. In a department that is comprised of many different personalities, cultures and levels of staff, Karl quickly became a valuable leader and earned the respect of the entire staff. When asked how he handled conflict in banquets, an honest answer came back stating that "Karl didn't really have conflict while in banquets. He has the gift and skill of foresight. Karl sees when things could go wrong and solves the issue before it becomes a problem. During this process he has a beautiful ability to diffuse any situation and put the guest at ease". His department head always had the utmost confidence in him and felt completely at ease when Karl was in charge. As Front Desk Manager, Karl continues to exceed the expectations of guests and colleagues. On a day to day basis, Karl carries himself like a true hotelier and possesses an old world charm and sophistication. So much so that he is fondly referred to as "The Next GM". Karl demonstrates a politeness and polish that sets an example and makes everyone around him strive to do the same. He seeks ways to make positive improvements, strives to meet revenue goals, works on ways to increase the guest experience and rallies the team to join in all his efforts.
