A 30-year devoted custodian of the building and grounds of the landmark Mark Hopkins Hotel, Jeff Brown, has maintained the shipshape status with enduring dedication and a smile to all he meets. Front and back of the house activities all combine to make a pleasurable guest experience. A well maintained “house” also instills pride of place in all who work behind the scenes, as well as in the forefront. Since 1979, Jeff has happily led the sanitation efforts of Intercontinental Mark Hopkins with dedication and pride. Committed to the recycling and Green Programs of the Hotel, he has earned the hotel’s Green Award in four separate quarters for his contributions to the success of the overall Program. Jeff is always smiling as he greets those who pass him, and his good cheer and positive attitude are contagious. As a link to every department in keeping the hotel’s high standards of cleanliness and sustainability, Jeff is a model representative of the army of unsung heroes who fuel the engine of hospitality in
